Ceremonies for Real Life

Summary
Although major life events are generally celebrated with parties or showers, these gatherings often don’t reflect the significance or sacredness of the transition being acknowledged. With this in mind, Carine Fabius has created special rituals to bring deeper reflection to such important events as the birth of a baby, a wedding, an anniversary, a birthday, or a move to a new home. Each ceremony includes information on the particular occasion, guidelines for preparation and a list of needed materials, and a complete script for the ceremony, which can be used as is or adapted to readers’ preferences. Practical tips for creating a special environment, preparing an altar, designing invitations, and finding the supplies to be used in the ceremony are also included.
