Summary
Enables readers to locate and enjoy many natural areas which have been expressly selected for outstanding botanical interest, including rain forest, desert, seashore, bald cypress swamp, and tundra. Each region is described in nontechnical language. Many of the wildflowers, trees, ferns, and other plants to be found along each trail are identified by their common and scientific names, and one hundred are illustrated by line drawings.
