Summary
This story happens in a mountain village in the central part of Sumatra, The witch doctor and chief's son have gone to Padang to investigate a new teacher they say has powerful medicine. When they arrive back home one of the chief's counselors is totally against any new teachings or magic and refuses to go with Jala the Witch Doctor to bring back a new teacher. The Chief and Jala are the ones to go to Singapore to bring back a new teacher. When they return will the one counselor manage to drive them away or will they stay.
