The Devil and Lieutenant Hilderbrand

Summary
The devastating nature of evil is that it can appear to be anything. It can be, Lieutenant Hilderbrand says, 'an angel sitting at your right side, an apple in the garden, or a friend kissing you on the cheek'. So unlike sin, which we recognize, evil walks in the shadows of the world, destroying without remorse ... the devil come up from hell. It's this force which Hilderbrand struggles against, on a trail of blood that leads even beyond the grave.
