Summary
Isabelina Montoya is happy in 1835 when her older sister, Feliciana, accepts the marriage proposal of a handsome Mexican soldier. At 11, Isabelina is old enough to help plan the wedding! But then Texas goes to war against Mexico, and Isabelinaís family is divided. Should they remain true to their Mexican heritage or fight for their new homeland?
