The Wizard of Death

by Richard Forrest

Summary

It was unspeakable. There was something in the air like high-voltage lightning. That formidable human dynamo, State Senator Bea Wentworth, had just introduced "the next governor of our state" to the crowd. And he had risen to acknowledge their cheers. Briefly. Then he fell dead as two shots rang out.

Neither Police Chief Rocco Herbert nor Bea's husband, author and sleuth Lyon Wentworth, had a single lead or clue ... until someone turned up with a film of the event.

But what the film told, they didn't want to know.
Because a horror more gruesome was yet to unfold ...
perhaps before their very eyes.
