Poetic Wings

Summary
Shalene Shamara Wilson was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, in 1981. She moved to Brooklyn, New York, in 1997 where she attended high school. Shalene enjoyed writing and reciting poetry throughout high school. Her professors always told her she had potential. She had poems published before in various anthologies and school newspapers. After realizing she wanted her poetry to be shared with the world, she decided to write a book. Her poems were good enough for someone else’s book, why not write her own? Writing poems was and still is a vacation for her. “My poems take me to places one could only dream of visiting. When I arrive, the relaxation begins.” Poetic Wings does the same; it takes you on a journey. If you like nature walks, beautiful islands, or a trip down memory lane, well, this is for you. Longing for a vacation? Do travel with Poetic Wings. As a butterfly is born, it takes flight. So does Poetic Wings. Put on your seatbelt and enjoy the flight.
