The Twisted Trail

Summary
Despite his best efforts, gun-for-hire Matt Logan is unable to stop the brutal murder of an innocent man. Logan prefers to keep to himself but feels obligated to warn the man's partner that he was unfairly cut down by their main competitor, Carl Sullivan. Much to his surprise, the partner turns out to be a fetching, strong-willed woman: Clarissa Hubbard. Clarissa hears the news but is more determined than ever to move the supplies to the starving gold miners before winter hits hard in the Georgia Mountains. She needs to beat Sullivan at his own game. With her mind made up, she hires Logan to protect her wagon train. Together they battle their way through Creek territory and snowstorms while fending off Sullivan's attempts at sabotage.
