Sean Connery

Summary
Tracing his rise to stardom from the slums of Edinburgh, this is a biography of the actor, Sean Connery. Having left school at the age of 13 and travelled to London to seek his fortune as a body-builder, he became a self-taught Shakespearian actor before getting his big break as a result of auditioning for the part of James Bond - a role which was to bring him worldwide fame and wealth. The author has drawn on the reminiscences of friends and colleagues, including Honor Blackman, Robert Hardy, Candice Bergen and Eric Sykes, to create a portrait of one of the leading film personalities of his day.
