HARD Three men are committed to the corrupt and cruel institution of Her Majesties Prison Cairncrow on the same Paul, an agressive, inner-city tough guy; John, an ex-vicar convicted of a sexual offence with a young man; and Simon, who is gentle, feminine and obviously gay. The prison is a sexual minefield run by sadistic officers and bullying hard cases, where the old-timers prey on the newcomers and the guards prey on everybody. This gritty prison story tells how the new inmates find a niche in a brutish environment, experiencing sex, redemption and love behind bars.
