Bibliographic Analysis of Percussion Literature

Summary
A distinguished percussionist, composer, and educator provides 100 or so short reviews of noteworthy articles, books, and compositions related to percussion in this reference for students and scholars of the profession. Larrick focuses on practical analysis, but he also offers numerous personal observations gathered from his wide-ranging experiences as a student, performer, teacher, and composer. While many of the anecdotes are humorous, the subject matter is clearly focused on serious issues and challenges faced by percussionists. The book is a follow-up to Larrick's previous five volumes.
