They had six children; one died in Germany, as did their father. The other five children immigrated to Watertown, WI in 1868 with their mother. This book focuses on the mother and her five children - their lives and descendants. Photographs of the mother and all five children are included, along with information from the Passenger List, all U.S. Census records, photos of their gravesites and more. The immigrant children 1. Albertina Raduege married Wilhelm Schmidt in Watertown, WI and settled in Lotts Creek, IA. They had nine children; four of them moved to ND and three of them settled in MN - two of them remained in IA, one of whom died as an infant. 2. Caroline Raduege married John Mohr in Farmington, WI, where they lived. They had seven children, six of whom remained in WI; one moved to MN. 3. Herman Raduege/Radick married Albertina LaBude in Door Co, WI. They settled in Red Bluff, CA where Herman changed his name to Radick. They had six children; two died young and the others lived in CA. After his wife’s death, Herman married Mary Reichers and had one son, who also lived in CA. 4. Augusta Raduege married Gottfried Polzin in Concord, WI, where they lived. They had 7 children, all of whom remained in WI. Gottfried had four other children by his first wife. 5. William Raduege/Radig moved to Iowa with his sister, Albertina. William settled in Lotts Creek, IA; he married Katherine Dreyer and changed his name to Radig. They had 14 children who settled in IA, ND and CA
