Inspirational Treasury on Samuel Rutherford

Summary
This book presents a new treasury based upon the life of Samuel Rutherford, the Scottish Covenanter. It begins with an appreciation of his life by Dr. Alexander Whyte a minister in Edinburgh for almost forty years and the author of Samuel Rutherford and His Correspondents. This anthology highlights many insights from his turbulent but fruitful ministry and contains a selection of his remarkable sayings as well as excerpts from his classic letters. Four of his sermons have also been included, retaining the original Scots dialect of that era. They Christ's Napkin; The Forlorn Son; The Weeping Mary at the Sepulcher, and The Worth and Excellence of Christ.
