Summary

Colin and Clarissa the crows live in their big nest sat high on top of the metal tree just next door to the number 58 bus stop. Now all the animals know it is just an old pram that got stuck on top of an electricity pylon. Colin and Clarissa are very confused crows. Colin longed to be a great explorer just like his Great Uncle Cedric but there were though no adventures for him until the big silver bird flew over his nest terrifying him and Clarissa. Thinking it was a fearsome bease he declares to all the animals that he is going to save them from the big shiny bird. However when they all laugh at him it makes Colin even more determined to catch this scary silver bird. They both set off on an adventure but being Confused Crows instead of flying they take the Number 58 bus where Colin meets a young girl and her dog. He explains all about the silver bird byt the little girl explains that they are just aeroplace and they can be found are the airport. Not wanting his adventure to end he goes with the little girl to the airport where Clarissa learns all about how airports work and Colin secretly goes off to catch a silver bird. When he sees his chance he runs up and throws the net over its tail u thte place just carries on and pulls Colin into the sky where the net rips and he starts to hurtle headlong to the ground. Now instead of flapping his wings and being a thoroughly confused crow he just falls headlong to the ground screaming. He ends up landing straight into his nest where Clarissa later finds him sleeping with a large bump on his head after. The story ends with Clarissa saying, "Well, Colin has been on a great adventure and his is home safe and sound!" And for Clarissa that was the most important thing of all.
